OUR CUSTOMER STORIES #3

We are super excited to share our new finding - the Instagram account of our lovely customer Julia.

And she is a coloristic and interior genius, her colors are amazing and textures are just right. We’ve had to take some lessons of her photos and sharing a gorgeous stylish old Colonial style renovation of a farmhouse.

Our linen bedding customer Julia, - she is from Minnesota, started this spring-2018 they took on a renovation of 1930s Dutch Colonial in Minneapolis.

They extended the kitchen, added a powder room, a little eat-in kitchen space/mudroom, and a screened porch.  Here are some lessons that we have taken from Julia for this year interior goals

CREATE SOMETHING WARM

One of my favorite aspects of creating spaces is knowing someone will feel warm and welcome - every day and night (oh those nights!).

“I remember wanting to splurge on the crib but was kindly reminded how time limited a crib really is. So I found an IKEA crib on Craigslist and saved the money for his twin bed — the more permanent element of his room. Here we are - day 1 to day 1,460 - same room, bigger kid

CHOOSE A PAINT TWICE

Look at the chosen paint in a hundred of different circumstances in ten lightings, look at it and imagine - what will you feel if you look at it upset or sick? Will it help you or vice versa?

“This fireplace was one of the first things I painted when we moved in 5 years ago. All it took was a half gallon of paint and an afternoon - I still love it. What smaller projects do you want to take on in 2019? EDIT: fireplace color is Benjamin Moore Mediterranean Olive”
